今からおよそ400年前。東北は仙台藩のとある漁村。

すべてを押し流していった慶長の大津波から一年が経ち、村人たちは復興作業に励んでいた。
 
浜辺で瓦礫を片付けていた嘉兵衛は、ふと目にした石板に心を奪われる。
そこには不思議な模様が刻まれているが、文字の読めない嘉兵衛には、それが何を意味しているのかが判らない……。
 
 
身を軋ませる貧しさのせいで、村では娘がまた一人、売られようとしていた。
 
「津波で何もかも流された。だども、心まで流されたわけではねぇ」
 
……立ち上がる嘉兵衛を導くのは、石板に秘められた謎。それは、シシオドリの起源に迫る物語。
歌と踊りが息づくこの土地で、彼らの舞いは海をも渡る！

【An outline of the story】
About 400 years ago, a fishing village in Sendai-han, Tohoku.
It has been a year since Big Tsunami in Keicho had washed away everything, villagers are striving for reconstruction work.
Kahei, who was removing rubble on the beach, chanced upon a slate and was fascinated with it.
There was strange patterns though, because he could not read characters and understand the meaning of it.
At that time, a young woman was about to be sold because of the screeching poverty.
"I had lost everything because of Tsunami, but, it does not deprive my heart."
Kahei rose up, and he would be guided to the mystery of the slate.
We approaches the origin of it in the story.
Here In Sanriku, where singing and dancing are still alive,their dancing can cross even over the sea!
This is an extremely thrilling and delightful musical by describing people
who survived in their own strength without being discouraged by adversity.
